Hello!
My name is Alanis and I'm a 24 year old from Montpellier, France. I love learning and discovering more of the world around us, meeting new people and being outside. I'm ready for honest conversations as well as for good laughs, I'm convinced we all have a lot to learn from each other.

I'm studying biology-ecology at uni and so I'm really excited to spend more time in nature, surrounded by wildlife and sustainable practices. I'd love to learn more about cultivating my own food as this is one of my personal goals. I'm also looking to expend my knowledge about biodiversity and conservation, so if you have anything to teach me I'll be so happy to listen closely and learn!

I'm looking forward to connecting with people, learning more about other cultures and traditions.

I've previously have experience with food (worked in a cafe’s kitchen + cooked for a community during a workaway) so I'd be happy to do some cooking (I'm vegetarian)! Apart from my interests for nature, my main interests are reading, meditation, hiking, climbing and travelling.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a good knowledge of ingredients, fruits, and vegetables. I spent July 2023 in a Buddhist village through workaway and my main task was to cook vegetarian/vegan food from scratch for between 15 and 35 people. I also did some basic gardening.

I've also always helped my family around the house with daily chores, gardening, painting, and some basic repair work, but I'm a fast learner so I'm sure I could contribute to any housework.

I have some experience babysitting and worked for a year in a kindergarten canteen where I had to help the kids with their meal, getting them ready for a nap, and supervising them while they fell asleep. I also have experience volunteering at a Food Bank, and cleaning beaches & natural spots, I just love to help with anything!

Was noch ...

In my spare time I love being outdoors, from sitting near a lake to walking in the mountain all afternoon! If i'm not on a walk, I love climbing, reading a good book or cooking. I also try to meditate and do yoga regularly, so I would love to be with like-minded people and deepen my practice!
