Ciao a tutti!

My name is Aga and this year is a year of full circle moments for me.

Exactly 10 years ago I set up an account here for the first time. I went to France, started my travelling journey. Now, a decade later, I'm back here as a completely different version of myself, ready for another Workaway experience!

Born and raised in Poland, I do believe there is a big part of an Italian inside of me and it's time to embrace her! For ages my Italian friends have introduced me as
'È la mia amica polacca, capisce un po' l'italiano però non parla.'
It's time to change that.

I've been to Italy countless times and had some amazing local experiences with friends, which made me certain that it is my place on earth. I am looking for a place where I can fully immerse myself in Italian culture and really speak the language!

I'm aiming for the northern part of Italy as hiking and climbing are a huge part of who I am. I need to be somewhere I can do both, preferably surrounded by fellow nature lovers! I'll be driving from Poland so I'll arrive with a big SUV, handy for getting around :)

Over the past 10 years I've tried a lot of different things: working in hostels and restaurants, teaching English, learning to make tattoos, studying sociology, becoming a digital nomad graphic designer, then a creative team lead, and on the side a travel producer and coordinator. I believe I can bring a lot to the table and learn how to bring it in Italian.

My plan is to stay in Italy through July, August and September, as I truly want to learn the language. I could not be more excited about ending my 20s in the Italian mountains.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As my professional work makes me sit in front of the screen for long time, I really enjoy getting my hands dirty with physical tasks.
I do know how to paint a wall (in fact, recently I've been to Pescara to paint a mural in Caritas!), I know how to clean the windows, loooove putting furniture together - basically any task, even if I don't know how to do it at first, I'll figure it out and will have fun along the way.
On one of my previous workaways, I helped with the finishing works around a massive hostel in Gran Canaria.

As a graphic designer, I do enjoy artsy things as well - so painting or decorating is always a pleasure. I worked in various restaurants, as a waitress, kitchen help and a bartender - so anything around cooking, cleaning and accommodating guests is also not a problem!

Professionally, I am a leader and team manager, so organising a group of people to be effective and have fun is as well something that I can do. I worked as an English teacher for kids aged 8-12, and I used to be a part of a big scouting organisation for over 7 years as a kid and teenager.

Oh, have to mention that I LOVE driving, and as I'll come to your place with my big SUV - we can make use of that :)

Was noch ...

Half a year ago, I had a full settled life in Poland, but something felt off, so I packed my things, gave up the flat and now I'm ready to follow what's calling me.
