I like reading books and news, listening to podcasts, watching movies and TV series, sharing my home with my friends and my children's friends, traveling, and practicing my English.

Beschreibung

I am an Italian journalist, working for various magazines and a publishing house, writing about health, beauty, and nutrition. Five years ago, I decided to brush up on my English, which I had forgotten a bit after my school years. In doing so, I discovered that I love the language and want to improve it further. So, I started being a Workawayer: I went to Wales, Ireland, and Mallorca, always finding fantastic situations and families. I loved every moment I spent there. I took care of kids, cooked meals, cut hedges, collected peat, drove vans, cleaned and organized houses, decluttering very messy situations, and made friends with a lot of marvelous people!
I signed up for Workaway because I believe that now, with my career well established and my children grown up (a 25-year-old daughter and a 20-year-old son), I finally have the opportunity to make a qualitative leap in my life. I want to spend my summer holidays having experiences I missed out on when I was twenty: crossing the sea, immersing myself in a different culture, and doing it alone.
I have always held myself to high standards and love bringing beauty and harmony to the places where I am. People say that I always have a smile on my face and that I am genuinely interested in the well-being of those around me. I founded and volunteered for many years at a school for foreign mothers, teaching them Italian and organizing a play area for their babies. I am increasingly attentive to children and their needs, and I have a lot of fun with them. I enjoy helping things grow: plants, flowers, and people.

I’m good at organizing the house and can cook tasty Italian recipes. In Milan, I successfully rent a room in my house on Airbnb and have beautiful reviews. I am trustworthy and cheerful with kids. I'm a journalist with a great cultural background (I have a degree in Italian literature), and I know Latin and ancient Greek, but I'm also a great dishwasher! When I was younger, I worked as a waitress in restaurants and as a picker in an orchard. I'm a good driver.
