Yoooo! I'm Abbas and I've caught the travel bug so in May I'll be leaving my office job and I'm hitting the road! :)

This is my first time using a site like this and I’m super excited to meet and help new people, see wonderful places and make great memories. I have mainly worked in restaurants and office’s since leaving school but I’m handy with most tools mainly from helping my mother and grandparents with DIY around the house and building bike ramps as a kid. I feel recent events have shown not everything is completely stable and that community and self sufficiency are important things to work towards. This is a huge motivating factor driving me to get out and see some of this world and the different humans inside it.

I will have a tool box with me and I'm interested in learning more about woodworking and a variety of construction methods. I like to spend my days off with my grandparents in their beautiful garden. I'm and outdoorsy person and really enjoy hiking, cycling and kayaking. I will be visiting lots of mountains, lakes and forests on my trip. I'll be bringing my kayak along but I'm undecided about my hybrid bike due to room constraints, and it having no suspension for rougher terrain, what do you think I should do?

I'm pursing long term travel and want to see everywhere so I think I'm gonna start heading east across Europe for an adventure, working and volunteering as I go. I can't wait to see where I end up. I'm eager to learn new skills and recipes, if there's anything I don't know how to do I will give it my best I'll just ask for some direction. And if none of us know, there's a youtube video for everything these days! I love food and cooking, often preparing meals for my family and I. I'm open to trying all new things.

I have an urge for freedom and eventually would like to fund my travels whilst working from a laptop so in my spare time I am learning coding and programming languages. I have a respect for all people and feel there is so much to learn wherever I go. I like to think of myself as a caring and enthusiastic person, I will be doing my all to help wherever I can!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm used to being on my feet all day from working in a very busy restaurant as both a waiter and cook. I did this part time whilst at school and for a while afterwards. For now I answer emergency calls full time which is not as physical but quite hard also. I work great with my team and its nice being surrounded by people who also just want to help. I am also a leader for a local cadet group. I help to organise activities and volunteering work with them. I can do basic woodworking and pick up new things fairly quickly. I have some experience with plant machinery and a full manual drivers licence.
