Hello! We are Abby and Laurent. We have left the UK and our jobs in urban planning and biotechnology behind to travel in South America.

We are both particularly interested in agriculture and learning how to be self sufficient. We'd also love to learn about how individuals can work to build communities in their local area.

We are both hoping to improve our Spanish and begin to learn Portuguese along our journey. We aim to work hard to contribute and do any task that may be needed.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

At home in the UK we both have experience in tending to small gardens and would love to build on these skills to grow produce and be self sufficient.
Laurent is a molecular biologist at home and has history as a bartender - he'll be able to make you an amazing cocktail!
Abby worked in urban planning, has experience in customer service roles and loves to cook with local produce, lots of salads and fresh vegetable dishes.

Our journey in South America so far has largely focused on agroforestry, we've loved learning about working with nature to produce food in a sustainable way. We'd like to share what we've learn along the way. It will be interesting to see how these practices change across our travels.

Was noch ...

On our travels, we love sharing card games with friends, we're sure to find a game that everyone will love!
Abby enjoys running and is always looking for new running routes, it is a lovely way to explore a new area. She has also been practising some Pilates.
Laurent loves animals, particularly bugs and birds, he loves to arrive in a new place and learn about the native species
