Beschreibung

Hello folks ! My name's Isabelle, I am a French girl from Normandy near the sea. My family is from the South of France, Spain and Italie. I live in Lille for 7 years now in love with the welcoming and cheerfulness of the North. I have always devoted my time for educative/social or event work. It taught me about being open-minded, patient, curious, and responsible. For 4 years now I am working with migrants thanks to them I learnt so much thanks to them.

If I am starting Workaway is because I am convinced about community power but also self-innovative actions. I would like to start my own project which would be an alternative school or social centre. We do not have Planet B as I am used to say, our differences are our forces we need to cooperate and live together with dignity and respect adding of course nature and animals.

I love languages since always ! I have an English degree wich enabled me to discover other languages in my time as a student! I love social and cultural work so languages are very useful and fascinating because they help you out communicate better in a more profound way ;) Every time I go somewhere I always try to speak the local language they are source of tolerance, respect, love and kindness. Why not speaking them even a few words?

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Hello hosts ! I can tell I have always worked into social and education work but also into festivals, bars, concert halls and being a volunteer in many missions made me feel organised and ready for adaptation. I often worked by night up to 5am no matter what it takes to lift heavy stuff as long as the atmosphere is funny and dynamic ! I am very keen on DIY stuff and cooking as well, my next project after French teaching is to have my own foodtruck.
As I said I am currently a French teacher so I have been working with kids, teenagers and adults for many years and I've been supervising summer camps. Had a fantastic time in boyscouts in France ! For 5 years now I am teaching French to migrants and just love my work. They taught me so much.
I am very good at languages as well and I love learning new ones : currently started Turkish but can speak fluently English and quite well Spanish. I have a BA in English and a MA in French teaching and had one year of studies as an Event planner. Also I have a certificate in youth supervision and first aid certificate.

Was noch ...

I like playing games like cards or funny games like "ouga bouga" or "mito" which are meant to create a funny atmosphere. I enjoy playing board games as well like "splendor", "seasons" and other strategic games as long as they are not too strategic! I am very fond of music and dance, I like discovering new dance steps and world music is one of my favourite type of music!
Sport is a part of my life too, reading and doing art work are very important to me as well.
