¡Hola!

We’re Yannik and Linda, a German couple that is currently experiencing the privilege of travelling to different parts of the world. We met during our studies of communication in a city so small even Germans have never heard about it. While Yannik stayed at the university to work as a social media manager, Linda moved to a different city to get her master‘s degree. Having this trip planned in 2020 which was not possible for obvious reasons, we’re now more than happy to have the chance to see different countries, get to know people from all over the world, and experience a different life than the one we know from home.

Although Linda will never share Yannik‘s passion for soccer and Yannik still tries to cope with Linda‘s urge to be active all the time, there are a lot of things that unite us: especially our love for animals and nature, our pragmatism, and the way we search for purpose.

This purpose is what drove us to this platform. Just working in the field of our studies does not give us meaning, we would like to contribute to the world by giving back to a community and nature.

While we’re in South America, we would like to improve our Spanish. We do understand a bit since we learned the language in school for a couple of years but time did its things so we’re therefore not so used to speaking anymore.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Since we both studied communication, we are both experienced in working for companies and organisations and helping them to gain attraction in the media, improve their online or social media presence, or enhance engagement within online communities or employees. If you need help with social media or your website, we can therefore assist you with that.

However, since we would like to learn something new, we would appreciate opportunities that also include activities like farm work or manufacturing. Yannik had his own little vegetable paradise so has some knowledge about gardening. Linda worked on a vineyard in Australia and, as an aupair, took care of two kids.

Generally, we’re willing to learn new things. That’s what we’re doing this trip for ;-)

Was noch ...

Here are some fun facts about us:

A few years ago, Yannik was a voluntary firefighter in his hometown.

Linda’s interest to study communication started with her being part of a youth theatre ensemble.

Yannik only knew how to cook three dishes when we met. Now we love to cook a lot of different dishes together.

Linda was part of the global organisation AIESEC, that connects the youth all around the world and has even been to Sri Lanka with them and found her passion for rice and curry.
