Beschreibung

Hi we are Yannick (28) & Barbara (23) and we are looking forward to the great adventure of Australia. We will be travelling through Australia for at least 6 months starting in February 2025. We want to get to know the country and its people by doing a wide variety of jobs, also to gain more skills. Our plan is to travel from Melbourne to Sydney and all the way up the east cost to Cairns. Wherever we find a suitable job we will take a stop and explore the surroundings. Both of us got an international valid driving license.

A few details about Yannick:
I am a trained event manager and a very open and communicative person. I like being outdoors, experiencing new adventures and I am spontaneously enthusiastic about most things. I'm able to handle stressy situations, keep calm and keep the overview.
I've already worked in several event companies with a wide variety of tasks. During my apprenticeship I worked as an amateur actor in front of a big audience for a crime dinner, afterwards I've worked at weddings and birthday parties in service. I also planned some events for very wealthy people in europe. Once I've worked for a company which organized the biggest dog sport events (Canicross) in Germany and my boss had 4 dogs so I often needed to take care of them. Last but not least I've worked for a teambuilding company where I brought team members closer together.
At home, I ride my motorcycle in the mountains a lot, I like bouldering and I'm also quite sporty. I'm a very family person who loves being around relatives and I absolutely love dogs and kids.
I think I can say that i got some manual skills, not professional but for a few smaller tasks it should be fine. And I'm eager to learn new skills of course.

A few details about Barbara:
I was born in Kenia but raised in Bavaria (Germany). I love different food from around the world and I am also intrested in new cultures. But of course I also like our Bavarian culture and our food, which I am happy to tell you about.
I was raised with 2 younger brothers and love being in a family atmosphere.
Since we live near the mountains, I love going hiking, swimming in the lake and being outdoor. I always wanted a dog but since now I didnt have one.

I am a fully trained hotel specialist who loves to work and get in contact with people from all around the world.
Since I started my apprenticeship, it was my dream to travel to Australia and meet new people and cultures while working. Through the last years I worked in different hotels and departments and reconised, that I enjoyed to develop my skills in many different areas. From reception with complain management to service for guests in the restaurant to room checking or cleaning.
I am looking forward to taking on new tasks and gaining new experiences.
