Hey there!
We’re Cate and Marvin— a couple who first met while sailing from Antigua to Dominica. Always on the lookout for immersive cultural experiences, we love to lend a hand wherever we go. We share a deep passion for animals, climate history, oceanography, and maritime policy.
Marvin serves as a conservation ambassador at Lincoln Park Zoo and has raised over $60,000 to rehabilitate bats, provide medical assistance to polar bears, and establish urban beehives across Chicago and New York.
Cate has five years of experience working as a horse hand on her family’s ranch in Wyoming. She’s also involved in tech and climate policy and has contributed to government research on the environmental impacts of highway development.
This winter, we’re setting our sights on the Caribbean. We’re excited to handle day-to-day tasks, jump into bigger projects, and maybe learn a bit about diving in our off-time. Let’s connect, collaborate, and make memorable experiences together.

We bring a unique blend of maritime know-how, financial expertise, and a deep commitment to animal welfare—perfect for supporting the rescue efforts. While we both studied maritime policy at Williams-Mystic and handled shipyard repairs at Mystic Seaport Museum, we’ve also rolled up our sleeves on the conservation front. Marvin, a conservation ambassador for Lincoln Park Zoo, has raised $60,000 for wildlife rehabilitation—from helping bats to providing veterinary care for polar bears and setting up urban beehives across Chicago and New York. Meanwhile, Cate has years of experience on her family ranch, caring for horses and other livestock, and has contributed to climate and tech policy research for the U.S. government.
