Update 24: Some years, passed, in 2020 i took over a smallhold goatfarm in the spanish pyrenees and became myself a host, both on this plattform and helpx. In late 23 i left the farm (in good hands) to work for my previous cheese making teachers in the French Pyrenees and i am now looking for new experiences together with my travel partner that came along and helped me at my farm 1 year ago.

Hello everybody. I am starting my one year journey in my camper with my dog and doing workaway throughout europe. Update: i am now near Aurignac, Hautes-Pyrenees, France. I have worked with wwoof the last months in Sweden and Norway. My dream is to find my own self-sufficient eco-farm. I have already volunteered in wwoofing and i am looking forward to try this platform. I have travelled over 35 countries and obviously love to travel.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We both have extensive experience in farm work, tractor, cheesemaking, (cow and goat) elaborating all kinds of meat, wood making, building, electricity, plumbing, brick, and so on.

Javier had is own pig farm together with his family for over 10 years and he studied wood engineering at the university. His main hobbies are animals in general but also thaming horses, dogs for herds etc

I have worked as a volunteer before with wwoofing, very nice experience with two farms in Norway. I handmilked cows, took care of goats, chickens, pigs and sheep as well as taking care of the vegetable garden, weeding, maintenance and etc. I am at the moment working as a replacement on a conventional dairy farm, mostly helping out in all the tasks, this is a farm that also breeds flat coated retrievers and norwegian elkhound so i have also had the opportunity to participate in the birth and the daily after care of calfs, dogs also sheeps and horse. I have also been participating in slaughtering, piecing up and elaboration of moose and pigs. I have also tried to make cheese , yogurt and butter. In 2016 i refurbished (with help) my house so i also have some, building/planning skills. I am a worker and eager to learn and help as i believe this would give me lots of experiences to realise my dream, a self-sufficient farm.

So this is my "free" year and me and my dog are really looking forward to getting started in my van.
We both love hiking, fishing, nature and i am a beginner in yoga so if anyone wants to teach me more i am grateful. I love to play cards or any other boardgames or just having a nice conversation. I am eager to create and learn on the way, it be, building, animals, cooking or other.
