Hi there!

My name is Max, 32 year old French-American currently traveling by motorbike in Italy. I've left my latest home - Barcelona - for a new journey of learning and growth on the road. So excited for what's ahead!

I see life and this world as precious gifts meant to be explored to the fullest. And for the past 8 years, I've been trying to live up to this vision, by traveling extensively around the world. My main profession is filmmaking/photography, although I am not a career-orientated person and like to reinvent myself and try new things. Recently, I've been growing more interest in manual labor and practical/human-orientated skills, rather than digital ones.

I've done several volunteering over the years, most of them were done outside of the Workaway platform:

• Working in an animal farm in Bulgaria, taking care of horses, sheep, goats, chicken, and daily life farm tasks, for 3 weeks.
• Teaching English in a school in a small desert village in Rajasthan, India, for 2 weeks.
• Working in a coffee farm in Colombia, for 1 month.
• Working as a guide and translator in the Amazon jungle, Peru, for 2 months.
• Several hostel experiences, reception, cleaning, activities, for over 6 months in total.

I am adaptable, very open-minded, friendly, and curious about many things. I love the feeling of team spirit, working together towards a common goal on a project.

Professionally, I've worked as a filmmaker and video editor for several years, as well as a bit of photography. I also have some experience in tourism and hospitality businesses (hostel/hotel, customer service, tourist guide). I can also pretty much do any type of manual work, if you teach me how to.

* Videomaking/Photography
I graduated in Film & Television in Paris, and worked with several companies primarly as an editor, filmmaker, and motion designer. I am traveling with my photo/video camera. I love taking pictures of beautiful sceneries, portraits, and creating short videos. If my skills in this discipline could be of any service, I would be more than happy to put them in use. I also have some experience in graphic design, photoshop and illustrator.

*Hospitality/Tourism
I've had several experiences working in hostels and with travel agencies. I'm social, patient, and friendly, and know how to handle guests and make sure they feel comfortable.

*Computers/Technology
If you need computer lessons, help with softwares, or any techy kind of thing, I might know a thing or two!

* French/English
I speak French and English fluently, and now have a solid level in Spanish, plus a little bit of german, if it can be of any use!
I'm interested in learning Russian, Hindi, Portuguese, Italian, Farsi.

*Good will/patience/dedication
When I have a task to do, I always try to do it as perfect as I can. I am a fast learner, and always give the best of myself. I want to learn some manual skills, whether it is in farming, gardening, animal care, construction, etc. Thanks to volunteering, I gained a little experience working in farms and with animals.
