Hello from two adventurous Squirrels in London, UK – Tony & Ljiljana!
We’re a curious and energetic couple with a passion for exploring the world, connecting with new people, and diving into different cultures. Let us introduce ourselves:
Tony has been living the adventurous life since childhood. Growing up as a “global citizen,” Tony's father, a Royal Engineer, moved the family around the world, so he’s no stranger to embracing change, adapting to new environments, and making lasting connections. Whether it’s a deep conversation with a local or sharing a laugh with someone from a completely different background, Tony’s gift is making people feel at ease. A seasoned traveller and a lifelong sailor, Tony has sailed since he was young and even owned a yacht. He’s also a keen photographer, sports enthusiast, and enjoys everything from cycling to DIY projects, fixing bikes, cars, and gadgets. With a background in law, technology, and commercial management, Tony’s skill set is as diverse as his interests!
Ljiljana, originally from Bosnia & Herzegovina, has lived in the UK for over 33 years. With a degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Advanced IT, she’s a Project Manager by profession, with extensive experience in both IT and marketing. Ljiljana’s background also includes working as a nanny while studying, and she loved spending time with children, from toddlers to teens. Outside of work, she’s passionate about social causes, regularly volunteering at a local soup kitchen. An avid lover of the mountains, skiing, and all things outdoors, Ljiljana keeps fit with walking, yoga, piyo, gym sessions, and saunas. She enjoys engaging with interesting podcasts, audiobooks, and the occasional game of cards or board games.
Together, we share a love for sustainability, healthy living, and animals. We’re enthusiastic about cooking (especially when it involves local ingredients!) and have a small garden where we both pitch in – Tony keeps the lawn neat and Ljiljana tends to the plants with care. Our love for kids and animals, combined with our practical skills and problem-solving mindset, means we’re always ready to pitch in and help wherever needed.
We’re open to new experiences and love getting stuck into a variety of projects, whether it’s hands-on work, creative problem solving, or offering a helping hand in any way we can. We’re excited about the opportunity to learn, contribute, and grow, while embracing the local community wherever we are.
