Hello to everyone! I am very exited about this new experience and having a chance to travel in different way like I was used to!

I am 43 years young woman, married already 23 years with my beloved husband. We have 3 such a clever boys. Ah, "boys"- it's not true word anymore for them: 23, 19 and 14 years old, strong and wonderful young men!

My husband and I both come from the Latvian countryside, we lived in the capital Riga for 18 years, but 2.5 years ago, when the Covid craze hit the world, we moved back to the countryside to renovate a 100-year-old log house that was in very bad condition and hadn't been inhabited for 20 years.
My husband, with the help of our sons, have restored the house so that we started living there in January 2022, even though everything was not completely done. My husband is a carpenter with a great deal of experience, but even for him, the house presented unprecedented situations that forced him to learn new things. I am really happy that our sons had such an opportunity to be part of something so ambitious, to create their own house with their dad, to see how much you can do if you want to and work towards the goal. Learn the golden rule: "Everything is figuroutable!"!

My husband and I both thought together about the design of the house, planning the layout of the rooms, feeling what we liked and what was right for us. I loved so much the process and the way we both communicated and interacted with each other through every step of the process! There were many situations that required a very open mind to find even unusual solutions. In the renovation process we used reclaimed old materials from the dismantling of the old "cultural layer" of the house or the demolition of rotten buildings on the property, but of course we also incorporated new and modern materials.

Before the Covid era, I travelled quite a lot, so the home renovation project was a wonderful decision while the world was in a mess and uncertainty. Although the new living conditions in the Latvian countryside and the house project were interesting and really exciting, I really missed the breath of the world, especially Italy, France, Portugal and Spain. I satisfied my thirst for these countries listening to music and cooking some of the dishes I had learnt from there.

When my middle son Markuss announced that he had decided to leave home to live, work and explore the wide world, we discovered this wonderful platform. Something clicked inside me and sparked my wanderlust, my nostalgia for these beautiful countries, the openness of the wonderful people, their friendliness, generosity, the beauty of nature and man-made beauty, my passion for cooking and enjoying, being together... Oh, my! I can't stay at home, even though I know my husband will miss me! The world is calling me!

I am positive, open, friendly, sociable, very creative and imaginative, even inventive, efficient and practical, a lover of order and cleanliness, but not pedantic. I can be relied on, trusted with the house, the children, the pets, the plants, because I will take care of them as if they were my own (which is a natural thing for me, but I know it is not for everyone).
I don't like carelessness. Also in relationships, not only at work. I can be an easygoing person, but I value deep connection between people.
I am honest. If I don't like something, I say. If I like something, I say so.

People like to talk to me because I am an active listener. I am very interested in people's life stories, so it is quite normal for me to be entrusted with private information quite quickly.

I am a personal stylist (image maker) by profession who has worked actively in the field for 20 years with private clients. I know how to cut, colour, bleach, style hair for day and evening occasions, create make-up. I am a great companion in the jungle of shops to help create the unique wardrobe for both women and men. What a surprise - even the most convinced shopping haters like shopping with me!

In recent years, I have found myself more in a position to help people with psychological questions on a wide variety of private topics. Nowadays it is trendy called coaching - I consult and help to find understanding of inner processes, peace, clarity, to set goals and be a companion on the way to completion.

I love to cook. The family is large and is generously spoilt with delicacies every day. I love to bake cakes and cookies. I have been baking bread from natural sourdough starter for 5 years as a regular for my family. I make my own fruit and berry jams for the family. I like to invent new recipes or reinvent the ones invented by others, finding new solutions, flavours combinations.

I like to decorate the environment, invent new design solutions in rooms. People say that I bring beauty and harmony into every space that I have the opportunity to express my creativity in. I love restoring old furniture. Due to the renovation of our family home and the need for light solutions, my talent as a lamp designer opened up. I love creating new lamps, inventing designs I had never seen before (ceiling, table and floor lamps).
I could easily make a Youtube channel with DIY ideas for a beautiful and cosy interior, because I have a lot of ideas :)

I know how to sew with a sewing machine. I don't know how to create new clothing technologies, but I know how to sew curtains, for example.

As a child, my parents and grandmother had a farm in the countryside. I grew up experiencing first-hand what it was like to take care of animals (cows, pigs, sheeps, rabbits, nutrias, dogs, cats) and birds (chickens, ducks), do all the gardening (the maddest memories are weeding the endlessly long beet beds for livestock...), making hay for the animals for the winter, etc. I'd be lying if I said how much I miss it. I don't miss it at all, because it was very hard work that just had to be done, like it or not, no matter what the weather was like outside. I'm writing this to let you know that I can and I am able to do that too, but I'd much rather paint your doors and windows, help you in the kitchen, look after the children...

Although I don't intend to rent a car, I have a category B license in case my hosts ever need my skills.

Oh, and a little thing - I'm a writer. I like to share my short stories from life with friends on Facebook sometimes, with reflections, observations, content to make readers laugh, smile, be inspired. In Latvian, of course. Since the renovation of the house, I have been quite active in sharing with people the progress of the project, describing our adventures, revelations, going through the process, thus attracting new fans to the readership with new content topics. A very interesting experience!
