Beschreibung

Hey! We are Azaria and Tessa, two besties from our beloved city, Bristol, UK. After ten years of friendship, we are setting off to travel Australia together, looking forward to deepening our connection to the beautiful natural world, fellow likeminded individuals, and each other.

As open minded and creative individuals, we are always excited and looking for opportunities to expand our minds through travelling and meeting people from different walks of life.

We are excited to embark on our travels, starting across Australia in August 25. We are very keen to explore the lands, cultures, arts and music, creating connections and experiencing community along the way.

We are nature and animal lovers, loving to be surrounded by natural environments and we are super interested in sustainable projects and permaculture projects.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We have both worked in hospitality for over 5 years, so we are well accustomed to manual labour and long days on our feet! We met through our love of drama and the arts, and have worked together of countless shows and performances. Tessa has gone on to work professionally as an actress on several TV productions. Azaria went on to study film, where she developed a keen interest for script writing and direction.

Tessa has some woodworking experience, having grown up watching her dad, a former carpenter, work, and completing a short course introducing the foundations of woodwork at a women owned workshop her in Bristol last year. She is keen to learn more develop this skill through home improvement and arts projects here on workaway. She is also a yoga teacher and yoga therapist, trained in Vinyasa yoga and Yoni Shakti. She has hosted yoga classes and womens circles over the last year and is incredibly passionate about sharing this work.

Azaria has some gardening experience having helped her step dads landscaping business, basic maintenance work and helping clear land for new patios etc. She also co-owns a small event company in Bristol that specialises in creative workshops and community events. She loves planning these events in the hopes that new friendships may be forged through shared art. Azaria herself has a long history of art, mainly gouache but also oil paint and more recently lino printing. She also has experience volunteering with a local primary school, taking kids to the community garden and teaching them about nature and crafts.

Was noch ...

We are both musicians! Tessa has played piano since she was a child and loves for her days to be spent absorbed in learning new pieces - she also play some harmonium, and accordion. Azaria is a talented guitarist, and loves to play around with other folk instruments when given the opportunity. Further, we both love to sing, both together and with others - creating music is incredibly meaningful for both of us!

Tessa loves dancing, reading, and crafting - she always a long list of books and projects on the go. She has a keen interest in remaining healthy in mind and body. Daily movement of all kinds is an essential for her and she loves yoga, running, dancing, weight lifting and more! She is dedicated to remaining close to spiritual practice, experiencing and sharing peaceful moments of connection to earth and spirit.

Azaria has a great knowledge and interest in reading and history. She makes it a priority to research and learn about everywhere her feet take her. She is also a real family minded person, having a large group of siblings; including lots of very young ones! This makes her very compassionate and patient with other families.
