Beschreibung

Hi there :-) We are Sven and Kat, originally from Germany, but we have lived in Switzerland for the last ten years. Kat (36) previously worked as an event manager and Sven (44) worked as a mechanical engineer. Two years ago we both decided to quit our jobs and go backpacking and hitchhiking around the world for one year.

Now we recently also gave up our apartment and sold most of our stuff - to be free and find a new place to live somewhere in Europe. How this might look like, we are not sure yet. But ideally we find a place in nature, a house to refurbish, have some animals, plant a garden, do some farm work and other new jobs to experiment with and gain different experiences. Thus we will start traveling around northern Italy from September on and later probably also northern Spain.

Our experiences
Sven is a great chef and likes to cook. He is technically gifted (due to his mechanical background) and loves to build DIY projects and work with his hands. Kat is very good at organizing projects or events. She loves to bake and take care of guests. We both love to take care of animals and plants - we did several petsits (cats, dogs, sheep, chicken, cows) and farming jobs (olive harvest in Greece, garden work in Australia, community garden and temporary help on vegetable farm in Switzerland, haymaking in Austria) during the last two years. We are always open to learn something new and will adapt to different circumstances of work. We love being outdoors and surrounded by nature.

Generally, we think it is very important to learn at least the basic words of every country that we visit.Additionally, we are interested in expanding our English skills to a more fluent level.It would be also nice to learn some Italian and Spanish.We could teach German and also English for beginners.

We both love to take care of animals and plants - something we unfortunately don't have many possibilities at our homes (as we do not have a garden).

We are always open to learn something new (as we recently did about olive harvest and production of olive oil) and will adapt to different circumstances of work. We love being outdoors and surrounded by nature.
