Hello!
I’m Bára, a 22-year-old animal lover and passionate traveler who recently completed a bachelor's degree in Tropical Agriculture at the Czech University of Life Sciences, where I focused on equids and their antipredatory behavior. And on high school I studied veterinary medicine. So animals have been a part of my life since childhood. My dream is to broaden my experience with animals beyond the borders of the Czech Republic, which is why I decided to join Workaway. I’m excited about the opportunity to work with animals abroad, meet new people, and embark on new adventures.
I have extensive experience working at a veterinary clinic, in a zoo, on farms, and in an animal shelter. At home, I have two wonderful fluffy pets – a dog and a cat – as well as a terrestrial turtle, which brings me a lot of joy. Working with and caring for animals is very important to me, and I am eager to continue this work in the future.
I am friendly, sociable, reliable, and hardworking. While I am more of an introvert who enjoys tranquility, I am also open to meeting new people and learning new things. I prefer calm communication, and I believe that most issues can be resolved through a constructive approach. I speak Czech and English fluently, although as English is my second language, my proficiency may not always be 100% grammatically perfect – but who is perfect?
In addition to my passion for animals, I have many hobbies that bring me happiness. I love traveling and discovering new cultures and traditions. Reading and drawing are also some of my favorite activities, as they allow me to express my creativity. I love spending time in nature and fresh air, as nature revitalizes and strengthens me. I am a vegetarian, and a vegetarian or vegan diet is important to me because I abhor any mistreatment of animals (but I have no problem with people who eat meat). Furthermore, I also enjoy adrenaline activities, although I prefer having things planned and organized.
My goal is to be happy and to contribute to helping animals and the environment. I am interested in ecology, biology, behavioral ecology and related fields that allow me to contribute to the protection of our beautiful world. I look forward to the opportunity to join your community, bring positive energy, and continue to learn and grow.

I think a lot of is said in profile description, but I'll summarize it here in a nutshell.
- Experience with Animals:I have extensive experience working at a veterinary clinic, in a zoo, on farms, and in an animal shelter. Now I also work in minizoo in Prague, where we have animals which live in the wild in the Czech Republic. So I have a deep understanding of various animals' needs.
- Education: I completed a bachelor’s degree in Tropical Agriculture, focusing on equids and their antipredatory behavior. I believe that I have specialized knowledge in agriculture and ecology.
- I speak Czech and English
- I enjoy drawing and creating, which demonstrates my creativity and artistic expression.
- I prefer planning and organization, which helps me manage tasks and projects effectively.
- I am friendly, sociable, reliable, teachable and hardworking. I adapt to any task.
- I favor calm communication and believe that most issues can be resolved through a constructive approach.
- I am very flexible, and I believe that I manage almost every task, that would be given me :)

My favorite animals are aadvarks, frogs and dogs. But I am also very fascinated by deep sea creatures.
