Hello lovely people,
My name is Joris, a 30 years old outdoor junkie from the Netherlands. I studied outdoor education (bonus points if you've ever heard of this) and unsurprisingly love anything that has to do with the outdoors. The last years my base was in the rugged and beautiful west coast of Ireland but lately I'm roaming free in the world (⭐ ⭐ ⭐ corn fed).
I try to take myself not too seriously and treasure the freedom and endless possibilities life has to offer. This resonates in my cv as I've been all over the place working in the adventure sector as a snowboard/ski, climbing, kayak and canyon guide.
This year I'm working as an outdoor instructor and English teacher in the Alps and as a travel guide for people with a disability throughout Europe.
I appreciate my own company but also love to be surrounded by positive people and good vibes. A combination of tents, bonfires, slow meandering rivers, and fluffy animals is my idea of paradise.
I am looking for other like-minded people, projects and communities to share meaningful and inspirational experiences with.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
My experience in working life comes mainly from the service industry. I have been employed in a multitude of bars and restaurants while the last six years I have been working as a snowboard, ski, climbing, kayaking, canyon guide, leader and guide in a variety of settings.
I'm as patient as they come and love kids.
As a teacher I have to be creative to keep them engaged and happy. My jobs require a lot of responsibility and leadership and I know how to keep my head cool and work efficiently.
I have experience in plucking fruit, building deckings and with the right guidance I can be a handy helper for any sort of building work. I have worked in a campsite in France as an allround handyman, receptionist, lumberjack and pool cleaner. My last workaway in Spain was two months of construction work where I learned a lot of useful skills.
I like cooking, am helpful in and around the house and am up for any physical labour. I would love to get into gardening but have little experience.
Basically, I like to learn. And I am ready to get my hands dirty. So if you are ready to teach me we will make a good team.
