Beschreibung

Hi!
My name is Sophie, I'm 24 years old and I'm from Bavaria, the very south east of Germany right next to the alps.
From November 2021 to December 2022 I traveled through the wonderful countries of Central America with the intention not just to travel but to do something meaningfull so I was very happy when I found out about workaways and all the great projects it has to offer.
I joined 5 different projects where I stayes 1 to 4 months and absolutely loved it!

Since february of this year I'm back, joined one project in Guatemala for a month and am looking forward to now go to Mexico and find a peaceful and mindful place close to nature to support another project.
I'm looking for a peaceful place in nature where I can live and work in and with nature and get to know likeminded people to share knowledge and stories.

I love working together with openminded people especially in outside. I grew up with the mindset that we should care about our environment and this earth and over the years my awareness for those subjects only grew. Also I realized what a healing effect it has on me so the more I'm spending my time outside the better! For me it's just the best to work in a great team with nice people, to do some good things especially when I can help nature and animals with my work. I speak fluently German and English and I'm learning Spanish. I love talking and especially laughing with people and learn new things about them like culture, language and their life experiences.
I'm very excited to continue my journey in Central America and I'm hoping to have a great time with you!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm actually open for lots of different things and would love to try new things.
Some things I really like and where I'm good at are working together with other people. It always gives me such great energy! Also I love children and animals and spending time with them. In the last years I've been working for different NGOs for helping people all around the world or nature and volunteered in a bunch of other projects so that's what I really like, too. Helping wherever I can to make the world a better place! In this time I talked to a lot of different people from different countries and cultures, I love to communicate with people who are also different from me to learn new things!
Also I really like to take pictures or videos with my camera. I've been making a movie myself about a trip in New Zealand and currently working on cutting all the videos from my last year of traveling and volunteering to spread the message of a more sustainable way of traveling and lifestyle. Actually I volunteered in Nicaragua on a farm where I made a fiew videos for them to support their education project.
I'm into lots of different kinds of sports as well. If I had to chose the top 5 it would probably be surfing, hiking, gymnastics, yoga and climbing. But actually I don't have any outdoor activity that I wouldn't like.
As well I love music, I sing and I carry my ukulele to improve my skills throughout my trip.
And not to forget, I like writing a lot! From poetic texts to travel stories. Everything is getting written down!

Playing piano, ukulele or guitar (I'm just a beginner in all of these instruments, but I really like to play!)

Helping the world to become a better place
Some of them I haven't found out but I'm excited to get to know and learn new things!
