Beschreibung

I like to travel and get to know different cultures, communities and spirituality. I find volunteering a pleasant way to get to know communities and people. Helping makes me feel good. I think it is important to work for the community and nature in a sustainable way, for the benefit of people and the environment. I like to work both indoors and outdoors. I can also do physical work, it also makes my body feel good. Nature and landscapes as well as sitting and watching the hustle and bustle of the street relax and calm the mind. Both are exciting. I can't resist Asian food :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have been a teacher from elementary school to high school. I like working with children. I still do substitute work. I like to do trad. crafts, I am also an artisan.
I moved to the city and studied at university; I completed a Master of Arts.

I grew up in the country, in a family that practices agriculture/reindeer herding/fishing/picking berries/subsistence economy. I have done a lot of physical outdoor work, firewood, animal care, haymaking, picking berries, etc.


I have been volunteering in Indonesia for two months, on the island of Java. I worked on the Mangrove project in Pekalongan; planting mangroves, harvesting seeds, seeding mangroves, supporting local events and activities; exchange culture, school visits; encounters between volunteers, local people and children was a super great experience.
I have also spent time on Shikoku Island, along the Naka River, for three months in early 2025. I visited Tokushima many times and spent another 10 days in Osaka.

I don't know Japanese. I have tried, but I don't know the characters, so it's difficult to study with the app. I have my learn Japanese -book.
I speak some English. I have managed with it.
