Hi:)
We're Taja and Asja, a DENTAL MEDICINE and PHYSICAL EDUCATION and arts students from Slovenia, but first and foremost two friends, who love to explore and take on new adventures. We're pasionate about traveling around the world, meeting new people and learning about different cultures and lifestyles but also want to share our skills with others and teach them about our passions.
Cambodia will be Taja's second Workaway experience (already helped at a school and a farm in Uganda) while Asja is joining her for the first time.
During summer we love to CAMP without electricity, so we're used to cold (or no) showers, cooking on gas or fire and no screens. We're both SKI INSTRUCTORS who work with kindergarden and primary school kids every winter and we're both DANCERS (hiphop, contemporary) so it's needles to say we love good music. Asja is also a GYMNAST and an ART STUDENT with a big imagination while Taja has already started working with dental patients and has given many classes on dental hygiene and DISEASE PREVENTION.

Slovenia is a 2 million inhabitants only country so the level of English is really high and we are both fluent in English, we could help others learn it. We also can share our knowledge of German and French and even Slovene, our mother tongue, which is spoken by only 2 million people. We are eager to also learn new words of the local language where we would work and travel and at least be able to say basic words like hi, thank you, please, bye, count...

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We have experience working in hospitals and dental clinics, as well as a lot of knowledge on disease prevention and treatement.
We come from very active families, so Zala is a climbing teacher and pilates instructor, while Taja is a ski instructor and a dance teacher. We also like snorcheling and diving, hiking, running, yoga, surfing and are willing to try almost anything new.
We have experience working with kids: we both organise childrens birthday parties and teach kids all ages different sports, Taja was also an Au pair to a family of 4 children.
We both like working with our hands and are quite resoursefull when it comes to building or repairing something. We like being in nature and especially Zala loves to work with animals.
We like to cook and enjoy good food and good music, Taja plays the guitar, the piano and takes singing lessons.
We both speak Slovenian and English fluently (which is also the language Zala studies in). Zala also speaks some German and Taja some French.
