Beschreibung

Hello! My name is Savanna and I am a college student from the United States who is adventurous, kind spirited and excited for life!

I am well travelled, I spent five years of my childhood living in South America so I speak Spanish fluently. I crave to see the world and I love to learn about new cultures and see the world through a different perspective.

I recently graduated from college with a degree in sociology and hispanic studies and my passion in life is advocating for women’s rights and women's health, particularly for survivors and youth. In my college town, I worked for my local women’s shelter for a program that works with 5th grade girls on empowerment, body image, and other relevant and important topics. I’m also engaged with restorative justice practices, and advocate for prisoner’s rights.

I love the outdoors, especially hiking, swimming, backpacking, skiing, surfing, and yoga. I grew up in a very outdoorsy town with nature very accessible, and it’s very important to me to incorporate being outdoors not only in my everyday life, but also my workaway experiences.

Another one of my passions is creativity, I love to write and take photos. I particularly enjoy poetry and film photography.

Through workaway, I am hoping to get the opportunity to volunteer around the world. Due to COVID concerns, my college decided to go all online for the first semester, so I am available from September Until December, but my dates are flexible.
