Beschreibung

I am a professional writer (novels and comic books), a hiker, and a International literature teacher. I love the wild places, the books rooted in myth and dreams. I am happy when I create, when I share stories, when I walk in some forsaken place –I love ruin– when I laugh and make other people laugh. I like creating games/surprises and presents for the persons I love. I meditate every day.

I have a special interest in hosting /rural turism experience as I need to "unplug" myself from my work. In that field I have little experience beside being a sensitive, internationally minded person who has travelled his share and had been on the receiving end of hospitality ( I walked the Camino of Santiago 9 years ago and never stopped hiking since).

Sono uno scrittore professionista (romanzi e fumetti), un escursionista e un ex insegnante di lettere. Amo i luoghi selvaggi, i libri radicati nel mito e nei sogni. Sono felice quando creo, quando condivido storie, quando cammino in luoghi abbandonato – amo le rovine– quando rido e faccio ridere gli altri. Mi piace creare giochi/sorprese per le persone che amo.

Ho un interesse particolare nell'hosting/esperienza di turismo di campagna in quanto ho bisogno di "staccare la spina" dal mio lavoro. Nel campo dell'accoglienza ho un po' di esperienza in quanti ho viaggiato anni e ho ricevuto ospitalità (ho percorso il Cammino di Santiago 9 anni fa e da allora non ho mai smesso di fare escursioni).

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am of course bilingual Italian/English. I have a decent Spanish too.

I worked with kids 11-17 for almost 20 years, as a teacher professionally and storyteller for my own entertainment, so I am quite confident with young people.

Though I am no programmer my knowledge of office computer skills are a bit over the average, both for Mac and PC, as I used it for work all the time.

During my childhood I went to our countryside home all summers, so I know a little of farm life. I am no expert in gardening but I certainly have seen my share.

In my youth I also helped in different kind of volunteering organizations, from refugee camps to maintenance of archeological sites, all in an international context.

Moreover, my father has been a professional cook. Though I am no pro I did learn a few tricks from him and his aunts. (Food is very much part of the Southern Italian culture and -having the right ingredients– I am 'above average' from Neapolitan p.o.v., which has quite high standards.)

I also gave a hand to a hostel for pilgrims in Spain, so I know how to handle exhausted, rest-craving hikers.
