As an outdoorsy person, I'm happiest when I'm out in the countryside, whether that be walking, hiking, camping, working with animals or just spending time in nature. Although I have always loved animals, after recently spending several months working on a farm that rescues an endangered breed of horse, I have discovered a passion for farm life. I have grown up with dogs, chickens, rabbits and guinea pigs so caring for animals comes naturally to me, and I have also volunteered for the charity Riding for the Disabled at my local riding school for the last year and a bit, which I have absolutely loved. This helped give me the horse experience I needed to work on the farm, and I would love to continue learning about farm life in order to experience more of it. For the past year, I have wanted to travel and see more of the world, and now that I have left college I am finally able to do so! Although animals are my biggest passion, I also enjoy baking, playing piano, reading, walking and hiking :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As someone who has grown up surrounded by and working with animals, I would say my greatest skills revolve around animals, as this is what I am most passionate about. I previously volunteered at my local small animal sanctuary, which rescued and cared for rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, ducks, turkeys, chinchillas and dogs, and I currently volunteer for the charity Riding for the Disabled at my local riding school, which I love. I have also just come home after spending two and a half months working on a farm on a small Greek island, which works to rescue an endangered breed of Greek horse. Here, we fed, watered, mucked and generally cared for 37 horses, 18 cats, 4 dogs and a goat 6 days a week, with each volunteer having a day off once a week for themselves. As well as learning about horsemanship and horse care, I learnt lots of practical skills such as basic DIY and farm maintenance. I also have worked as a carer for just over a year for a young girl with learning difficulties, so I have experience working with children. From these experiences, as well as my part time job in a shop, I have learnt to be responsible, practical and resilient, as well as to work well with others. I am also a low maintenance, easy- going person, and am ready to adapt to different ways of life to get the most out of each new experience.

Was noch ...

I enjoy playing card games, especially Uno! I also love traditional card games, like Go Fish and Cheat. I enjoy going on dog walks, hikes and bike rides, but I also love cosy days at home to read, bake and watch films. I enjoy arts and crafts, and although I can't really draw or paint very well, I love to do it anyway :) I can play the piano, and I am currently trying to learn to crochet.
