I'm Laurie!

I grew up in Bath, UK. But I've been more than 8 years on the road, living in various countries, learning languages, having experiences.

Now I work fully remotely and freelance, giving me unprecedented freedom. I almost don't know what to do with myself. I'm learning to follow the signs, dreams and intuitions as much as possible.

I have a sprawling range of interests, but let's say I tend to orient towards the life of the mind: the arts, history, psychology, philosophy, religion. I appreciate when others can bring me down to a more grounded, practical level — otherwise I am like a balloon that flies off into the skies.

I've been practising Nichiren Buddhism for many years, which involves the daily chanting of Nam Myoho Renge Kyo. I also do yoga everyday, and a number of things in an "ecology of practices".

My friends often appreciate how brutally honest and direct I am, and how I am able to remain consistently myself, without any masks or filters; they say it allows them to be themselves more fully. People also often comment on my exceptional listening skills, my lack of judgements about what is "normal", and my depth of understanding of the human soul and life journey.

I won't go into detail into all the criticisms people have of me :D
