Kia Ora,

My names Rekah and I am a 22 year old Kiwi girl currently living in Christchurch, New Zealand. I have just completed a three year Visual Communications degree and am wanting to do some soul searching, wave chasing and inspiration gathering throughout Central and South America. The Spanish language played a big part in my travel plans and I decided the best way to learn is to go over duolingo's head and straight to the source, immersing myself in the culture and hopefully picking up some Espagnol along the way.

I have a deep passion for the outdoors and the ocean whether that be camping, hiking, tramping, diving, skating or surfing, I feel most alive when doing things outside, under the sun. With a love for nature comes an equal love for sustainability and guardianship of my playground. Although I graduated university, I am a student at heart and want to continue learning new things and meeting new people.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have worked my fair share of jobs so far in my life; ranging from surf-instructing to bartending. Hospitality and customer service jobs have been at the core of most of my job experience. I have worked at motels, cleaning and turning over rooms, in pubs perfecting the Guinness pour and cocktail making, in burger joints, thinking up the perfect burger combo, elderly care and at the otherside of the spectrum: babysitting, getting behind a weed wacker or pair of secateurs and transforming a garden or teaching my passion for surfing.

Apart from knowing my way around a lot of different types of workplaces and sitting on a broad skill set, my greatest skills come from my resourcefulness and creativity. I always love having a project on the go whether that be crocheting, painting, sewing my own clothes, up-cycling furniture or gardening.

I have a degree in Graphic Design so I am proficient in marketing and design as well as social media management and photography.
