Beschreibung
Hello everyone my name is Rafael and I´m 27 years old .
I love to explore new things and getting out of my comfort zone. Since i was young I see myself travelling around the world and exploring new cultures while learning from other people.
Luckily i had that experience multiple times. At 18 years old I left my country (Portugal) to pursuit my dream of living abroad. I moved to Israel, a country with a totally different culture and ethic than the one I was used to. It was a very enriching experience that gave me a totally different perspective and helped me, without a doubt, to grow as a Human Being.
I feel the most connected when I'm in the middle of nature and experience all it gives. One of the reasons I decided to be a Workawayer was to getaway for some moments from the noise of a big city and reconnect with my essence and the environment around me (people and place).
Last year I have done 2 Workaways , which thought me a lot and gave me exactly what i was looking for which was being in contact with nature and connecting with other amazing Human Beings.
The first Workaway in the Netherlands consisted :
-Maintenance and carpentry(such as renovating a house, sanding the gate, painting,etc...).
-taking care of a Great Pyrenees dog, doing walks and brushing his fur.
The second one in Sicily the work was quite varied:
-Gardening(We planted tomatoes and learnt a lot about permaculture).
-Prepared breakfast for the guests in the B&B and clean the rooms.
-Taking care of the dogs,cats and chickens.
I was lucky enough to work in an Acting, Yoga and meditation retreat where I learned a lot.
I consider myself a student of life who is always willing to learn a new skill in any field.
You can expect a open-minded workawayer who is available to contribute to whichever task that's propose.
About me : I like to practice mindfulness ; love for animals; meaningful conversations of any topic ; sports; spending time in nature; reading books.
I practice football and surf ( when its good weather :) )
For November me and my girlfriend
Paulina (check out her linked profile) from Viena, Austria are looking for an opportunity to explore new places and learn new skills. We are a young, motivated, open-minded, international couple with many interest. We met last year on a workaway in Italy and live in a long distance relationship ever since going back and forth between Italy, Austria and Portugal. Since we had a great experience with workaways in Italy we are looking for a host that provides us with new challenges and interesting tasks.
We have a hands on mentality and are flexible to work a variety of tasks to support our future host where we can.
We are looking forward to meeting new people and create even more everlasting memories together by giving our helping hands to a welcoming host.

My main goal is to learn new skills specially in DIY and sustainability (even though I have a little knowledge about it). I consider myself a fast learner who is willing to put into practice what he has learned.
