Hello everyone,

We are Radu (32) and David (34), a Czech couple searching for their next adventure. After living in Ireland for a while, we came moved to our home country and now travel from here. This year, we are lucky enough to have the whole month of April available for travelling and volunteering, so we are looking for a new experience abroad. We are both calm and easy-going and we hope to meet like-minded people.

We are both very happy with working with all kinds of animals, we both have the most experience with dogs and cats, in Brno we petsit regularly. We also have some limited experience with farm animals.

We are very handy, as we both used to help our families in their gardens and with their animals and we like DIY projects and do some work with our hands whenever we get the chance. Since we don’t live near our families anymore and live together in Brno (CZ) in a flat, we don’t get the chance to get our hands dirty and connect with nature on that level very often. This year we decided to take a month - April - off from work and spend it together, in a nice setting, doing some nice work, and we would absolutely love to learn a new language. We speak Czech, English and Spanish (both of us), some French (just Radu) and some German (just David). We would like to learn Italian and/or improve our Spanish. I worked as an English teacher too (I still have one class per week 90 minutes online, so I need a stable internet connection), so if you are looking to improve your English, I am more than happy to help. I also studied linguistics, it is still one of my dearest hobbies. David is very keen on science, space, and we both love birds and are passive members of the Czech ornithology association.

Also, we both love music dearly. We both love to sing, David plays the guitar really well (but is too humble to admit that :), he focuses on a bass guitar. I am learning to play asalato and ukulele, and also, sadly, slowly forgetting the piano playing skills I used to have.

We both have a very good relationship with food, especially when it comes to trying new food and learning how to cook it.

We can paint, work with wood, in the garden, plant or harvest fruits, cut grass, trees or bushes, or anything else, work in construction, art projects, work with animals or general help around the house.

We are available for the month of April and we would love to meet with you upfront on a videocall to answer each others questions.

Radka: At the moment I am working on my third language - Spanish. I am a dedicated student, I practice with Duolingo every day and have a class with a fantastic teacher once a week. At the moment I am able to express myself on a very basic level, but I am a dedicated student and would like to improve my level during summer. I used to be an English teacher, so if you feel like you need it, I can help you with your English. I am a Czech native speaker, so I can teach some of that too.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am an English tutor, so I am primarily looking for teaching positions. Besides, I love all kinds of animals and taking care of them, I can cook well, I am great with kids and all people with general. I am also experienced in leading a NGO, marketing, sales, customer service, I woule be a great help for starting businesses. I can do basically anything :)

Was noch ...

I am fairly social and I like being around people, but not necessarily all the time. I like quizzes, board games (at the moment my most favorite is Citadella).
I like reading and writing, I like long walks and hikes, running, swimming, volleyball.
I love being around animals and taking care of them. As I can't have any (I live in a flat in a city), I need to compensate during my travels :). I love dogs the most, big and small and all in between. My other superstar favorite are donkeys because they are just so cute and fun and I just love them :).
