Hi ! My name is Rachel I am a 20 year old from Cork, Ireland. I am hardworking, adventurous and love spending time outdoors. I finished school last June and spent the summer exploring the coast of Catalonia, Spain whilst working as an au pair for a lovely family.
I have experience working in a a linguistic camp for kids in Switzerland as a teacher since October 2023. I have also done various workaways in between that mostly involved cleaning and other odd jobs. I am open minded and ready to learn new skills to help out :)
I would love to continue my adventure discovering other parts of the world through the various opportunities available on workaway. I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their culture and customs. I’m particularly interested in volunteering in roles that involve working with kids and nature. I would love to learn more about what our earth has to offer and participate in projects that have our earth at the center of them.

I am fluent in French and English. I have an intermediate level of Spanish. My comprehension skills are much more advanced then my spoken Spanish which is something I am working on improving. I would also be very interested in learning Italian and Portuguese.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I worked part time jobs in retail during my studies in secondary school. I stayed with a family as an au pair in Spain for a month which allowed me to improve my language skills and gave me more experience in child care (as the family had 3 young children !). I have experience in animation and teaching at a linguistic summer camp, a job which I absolutely love. I also have hospitality experience in cleaning, reception, dishwashing and other odd jobs.
Although I may not have the most experience I am always eager to learn and ready to get stuck in 😊
