Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

I am travelling in Scandinavia between Sept. 24 and Sept. 25. I rearranged a van so I can live in it, but my goal is to meet new people, experience new things, learn new skills and get out of my comfort zone!

I'm a physicist, teacher in college (engineer degree). I like to repair things with my 3D-printers for people during Repair Café in my area. I also like build stuff that already exist but in my way (for exemple I build a alarm clock -design and realisation of electronics, coding and building the case with a laser cutter- with HUGE numbers so I can read time without my glasses on 🙂).

I'm curious to discover Swedish culture (people, habits, language, traditions, food,...) and to live a more down to earth life.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have many years of experience working with children through youth movement in Belgium.

Language: I speak French, good but not perfect English. I'm learning Swedish to understand what is happening around me but I'm quite a beginner. Of course I'd like to be fluent in Swedish but I guess it's not in my reach in the meantime.

I can code, design stuff and print them (for a repair, a new hack, for fun) with a 3D printer (I'm a trainer in "how can we repair things with a 3D-printer"). I'm good with computers and basic electronics.

Through work away I learned a few tricks with gardening and carpentry. I also did some floor laying, general maintenance, painting,...

I teach Physics in college (engineer school) so I can help with mathematics/physics and science in general :)

I don't know much about building houses or hostel keeping, but I'm really eager to learn new skills. I learned a lot building our van: woodworking, painting, electricity, plumbing, etc.

Was noch ...

i often go to fok dance ball. I even was a festival-organizer in Belgium and I am planning a 26 hours long ball. I play the french bagpipe (but I can also not play it :) )
