Beschreibung

Hey beautiful people,

we're Pia and Theo a couple from Germany traveling in our Renault Master called Bartimäus.

Theo (28) is a psychologist and remotely working for a University in Berlin while finishing his Masters degree. His passions are surfing, building stuff and climbing.

Pia (26) is working as an author and already had a lot of experience with Workaway. She has worked on eco farms and in self-sustaining households. Pia is also a licensed windsurfing instructor and has been surfing since childhood.

The passion that both of us share is climbing. And what keeps us busy while traveling is our future home:
We want to build into a self-sustaining farm one day, and before that we want to learn as much as we can about how to fulfill our dream. Besides permaculture and gardening, this also includes aspects such as environmentally friendly building and building electricity and water supply. But also animal keeping.

Over the last year we have converted our van and since April we are on the road in Europe. Our goal is to travel via Morocco to Senegal next winter.
Through the van conversion we have already learned many handicraft skills. Theo has also been working with wood regularly since childhood.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Pia studied science journalism and works as an author. In addition to her studies, she has been caring for people with disabilities for three years. During this time, learned a lot about approaching people with patience and love. She has already gained a lot of experience with Workaway and wwoofing. Mainly on organic farms and in self-sufficient households, some of which had many animals to care for. She also worked as a barista, restored murals and worked as a kayak and SUP instructor, did a lot of gardening and cleaning work in hostels or campgrounds.

Theo has no experience with Workaway but already worked like a million jobs. From salesman over warehouse production, emergency service, business development, change management, tutor and now working at university. Next to that he's really good at handiwork for example refitting old bikes, cars and building roofs, woodwork and gardening. He's a real allrounder you'll see.

All in all, we like to get our hands dirty and learn different things pretty quickly.
Pia is a vegetarian and Theo is vegan but we're totally fine with people consuming non-vegetarian products around us.

Was noch ...

We climb a lot and do some yoga. We surf and do lots of hiking. In the evenings we like to play a card game or two.
Pia knits, crochets and makes macramé, which are skills she also loves to share with anyone who wants to learn them! Both of us draw when we feel like it :)

We have experience with animal care, as we used to have cats. During Pias time abroad, she also took care of slightly larger animals (sheep/goats&cows). Theo grew up with chickens.
