I’m moving to Brazil in October and I'm planning to travel across South America, combining my skills as an English teacher with volunteer work in local schools, community projects.

Beschreibung

Hi! I’m Peter, a 26-year-old from the UK. I’m a CELTA-qualified English teacher and have spent the past 10 months teaching English in Italy in both private language schools and public schools on the PNRR scheme. I have experience preparing students for Cambridge English exams (A2–C1), teaching young learners, teenagers, and adults, and creating fun, interactive lessons that keep students engaged.

I also love the outdoors — hiking, camping, and getting my hands dirty with practical work are some of my favourite ways to spend time. I’ve previously volunteered at a pilgrim hostel along the Camino de Santiago, helping with guest check-ins, cleaning, and general upkeep, and I’d be happy to bring those skills to Workaway projects such as hostels, eco-projects, or community spaces.

My reply rate currently shows 0% because I wasn’t using Workaway while I was working full-time in Italy — but I’m now actively available, responsive, and excited to join new projects across Brazil and South America!

I’ve been on Workaway for a couple of years now and really enjoy learning about other people’s languages, traditions, and ways of life. Now I’d love to combine my teaching experience with cultural exchange and hands-on volunteering.
