Welcome to my profile, glad you made it.

I'm in a period between jobs. I decided to use this opportunity to gain more life experience. To do that, I'm looking for a workaway that combines my new passion, scuba diving, with an environmental activity like reef cleanup, scientific projects, etc. I also like doing beach cleanups.

I have done both types of cleanups before in Indonesia and find that those are fulfilling to me.

My previous two workaway have been in construction & cleanup of a large Irish property. This included woodcutting, stone wall building, constructing sheds for wood storage, painting walls and door indoor and sanding, varnishing and painting furniture.
The other workaway was in Costa Rica at a cat and dog shelter, which consisted of a lot of cleaning and caring for the dogs and cats.

I can also jump in on educational or scientific projects. I have a background in molecular biology and multiple years of teaching experience as a standup paddle instructor and salsa teacher.

I studied molecular biology and have thus a profound understanding of things that are terribly useless. However, everything about evolution, psychology and how living things work gave me a huge framework. Through this framework I am able to learn new skills and knowledge very quickly.

When it comes to hands-on work, I have experience in very basic construction and tinkering and I have worked in communal gardens in Switzerland and cultivated my own plants and crop.

I love animals. I grew up in a household with a dog, a cat, two guinea pigs, a parrot and an annoying sister (not annoying anymore). Since I moved out of my parents' place five years ago, I started missing being around animals. So I occasionally went with a friend to an animal shelter to go for a run with fit dogs.

Last spring I started dog sitting and now I'm in love with that!

I am a good listener. But I also love talking about philosophical stuff that does or doesn't have any impact on our lives. I also enjoy just trash talking.

I am generally an easy-going person with low maintenance requirement. All I need is food, and I'm not really picky (except for insects), and the occasional privacy to just shut down.

I enjoy meeting new people and learning more about the ones I already know.
