Beschreibung

We are a couple from the U.S. We currently live in Colorado. We are coming to New Zealand for a year starting in January 2025 on a working holiday visa to explore the country's natural beauty and to meet new people.

Parker is working as a mail carrier and Hannah works on water policy issues in the American West. Parker has previously worked on a farm, for a landscaping group, as a trail maintenance worker for the U.S. Forest Service, and as a wildland firefighter. Hannah has a master's degree in environmental humanities and a bachelor's degree in environmental science. She is passionate about collaboration with Indigenous communities. Previously, she has worked as a park ranger for Utah State Parks and the U.S. Forest Service. She has also been a server and bartender and knows a lot about beer!

Hannah lived and worked in France for seven months as part of the TAPIF program after college, where she taught English to middle and high schoolers. Parker has backpacked throughout Europe, as well as Japan, Costa Rica, and Puerto Rico.

Parker: I am a huge nerd, I love playing and discussing video games. I have a huge passion for trying to live in the most eco-friendly way possible, and am very interested in Permaculture and gardening/small scale farming. I am a poet and also love exploring new creative outlets, for example, the past couple years I have been making model ships. I love coffee and how it brings people together. I listen to all kinds of music but I mostly rotate through punk, Indie, and mellow ambient.

Hannah: I am a volunteer radio DJ, and I love discovering new music of all genres, especially indie rock and punk. I enjoy writing and editing as well as fashion and secondhand clothes. I also love good coffee and craft beer.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am an incredibly hard worker and can learn new things very quickly. I am pretty knowledgeable when it comes to stuff outdoors, and hands projects. Except art, I am not very good at that.
I've been to a little bit of college and plan on going back.

Was noch ...

I can be pretty quiet when I first meet new people or am in a new place. But if you can get me talking, sometimes I wont shut up. I really am fine living anywhere from a tiny shed with some dirt or a nicer house with every amenity.
