Hi! I'm passionate about nature conservation, wildlife and photography. I love hiking, canoeing, skiing and working out, but also reading books/magazines, watching series and listening to music!

Beschreibung

Hi! I'm Pablo. I was born in Argentina but grew up in Rome, Italy, and have been living in the U.K. for the past 7 years.

I've recently graduated from my MSc in Environmental Sustainbaility at Birkbeck, University of London, with a research dissertation in Rewilding and Nature restoration and I'm hoping to get some experience in the field of conservation/nature restoration through a Workaway experience.

I love outdoor activtities such as hiking, climbing, scrambling, mountain biking and canoeing/kayaking. I'm also an avid reader and photographer. I pride myself in having a curious mind for exploring different cultures and trying out new things (especially food!).
My love for all things nature goes hand in hand with a passion for animals (pets and wildlife) which drives my desire to work in conservation.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've earned a BA in English, German and literature, and an MA in international relations from the University of Rome, Italy. after 5 years into the labour market I decided to sign up for an MSc in Envronmental Sustainability at the University of London, which I completed in 2023.

I'm a native Italian and Spanish speaker (born in Argentina and raised in Italy), and am also fluent in English, German and French. I have some (informal) experience teaching Italian and English as a second language, so I'd be happy to do so again!

I'm on the lookout to gain some practical work experience in nature conservation (from planting trees to rescuing and looking after wildlife) but am open and keen on learning to do loads of practical things, from helping to build up a shed, cleaning a chicken coop, to helping out with hydroponic or regular agriculture, to fixing household items. I don't have much experience in the aforementioned but I've helped my dad out many times with his chickens and vegetable garden over the years and know how to use a screwdriver and fix a toilet seat (LOL). I can cook, although I like to keep things simple in the kitchen, and I can drive a car (manual and automatic). I'm also quite well-versed in looking after pets (I had a dog and 2 cats for 14 years) and I'm a very good team player.
