Beschreibung

Hi my name is Paul, Im 23 years old and am currently finishing my studies in sociology. I am bascially done with my studies and only need to write my thesis. But since I started university in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic I missed out on a lot of stuff and I am planning to make up on it before finishing. I am eager to go travelling but also want to learn some practical skills for example about self sufficient farming, animal work or craftmans ship, manual labor in general. I have been working in a supermarket for about 3 years where I coordinated the people working the registers and the last year I was teaching at a school for less-privilegded children and taught them about the climate change and organized field trips with them to meet scientists that work against the climate change. I would describe myself as an open minded and social person that loves working and living together with people but also likes being alone from time to time. What makes me happy is being outside in the nature. In the summer I often go hiking or do tours with my bike and sleep outside with friends, my girlfriend or alone. In the winter I play handball, tennis and go swimming. Over all I am a pretty active person and love doing sports or anything thats related to moving my body like dancing for example. When Im not doing something active I like reading, playing games, listening to music or just catching up with friends over some good food. I am interested in learning about people, cultures, practical skills and maybe a little bit of spanish so I figured being a workawayer is the best opportunity to combine these.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I would like to do some manual labor and learn about self gardening and self sufficient living in general. I also would like to learn some handyman skills in general, how to fix stuff or build something for example.
At other Workaways we built a drainage system and I learned a bit about working with cement and creating channels with it. I also worked a lot in the garden and learned how to prepare the land and how to make compost. I also worked on a olive farm where I learned a lot about how exhausting farm work can be.
If you have some bicycles laying around that need to berepaired I can be of help too if its nothing to complicated.
Im physically fit and eager to learn so if you give me a little guidance Im confident I can be of help even If i dont have a certain skill yet.
