We will be traveling to New Zealand from mid-December 2024 to mid-February 2025 and are looking for places welcoming couples.

Beschreibung

We are Olivia (29) and Jules (27), we are from France and (French-speaking) Switzerland.

We are currently based in Canberra, Australia where we have been living and working for more than 2 years, but we are currently planning a few months of working holiday in New Zealand.

Olivia is currently a research fellow in a progressive public policy think tank. She has studied international relations and language with a focus on Pacific Asia. Jules is an engineer specialised in energy by training but has been working in international cooperation in the last couple of years.
We both have experience working as teachers, improv coaches, as well as in hospitality. He is currently working as a barista and front-of-house in coffee shops in Canberra.

We are both quite nerdy and curious with a love of learning. Jules is passionate about films and photography and Olivia is an avid reader with a love for East Asian cultures and especially Japan.

We both love learning languages. In addition to French, our native tongue, and English which we speak fluently, Jules speaks Italian and is learning Japanese, and Olivia speaks German and has an intermediate/advanced level of Japanese.

We both have been practicing improv theatre for many years and we actually met while performing in a show together. We are members of a troupe here in Canberra, and we also have been teaching improv and leading workshops in Switzerland.

We both enjoy exercise in moderation. Jules is a keen rugby player and Olivia loves dancing (ballet, contemporary) and yoga. We also like to go on hikes from time to time.

We are trying to live in a sustainable and healthy way. We like to travel in the same way and take the time to feel at home in a different place rather than rushing to tick every box.

We are both passionate about learning languages. Olivia speaks French, English, German and Japanese and has basics in Mandarin Chinese and Korean. She has experience teaching French, English and German. Jules speaks French, English, Italian and has a beginner/ intermediate level in Japanese.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- We have been practicing and teaching improv in English and French for many years and would be more than happy to organise and run improv workshops and classes.

- We both have experience working in hospitality (including barista for Jules) and are keen cooks (mostly vegetarian but we don't mind meat). We are also open-minded and curious and would love to help with guests/customers.

- We love animals and would be happy to help care for them while learning. Olivia has experience volunteering in a zoo in Australia.

- Olivia has experience teaching French (native), English (bilingual) or German (advanced).

- Jules is also keen to help with DIY and building/crafting projects. Although his previous job was a deskjob, he was known as the handyman, always ready to help with anything coming up.
