**CURRENTLY ON THE ROAD - I PLAN TO STAY FROM MAY 2024 TO APRIL 2025 IN ARGENTINA**

Since I started to travel, I acquired different skills like:
- milking goats ;
- planting and harvesting (potatoes, strawberries, fruit trees etc.) ;
- feeding and taking care of animals ;
- making pickles ;
- fishing ;
- berry picking, etc.
- chopping wood ;
- how to use and take care of a chainsaw.

Hi, I'm Olivier. I'm a 32 years old french guy. After spending few years between the academic world (social sciences) and some jobs I decided to take a break and spend few months abroad. Spending my days siting on a chair, front of a computer waiting for the weekend is not what I want anymore. That is the reason why I decided to live a different kind of life by learning how to be more skilled and knowlageable about community projects, food sovereignty and alternatives to capitalism. I am eager to learn by practising and to exchange with people about all those knowledge which, now more than ever, seems essentials. While my previous experiences at different farms I realized that I was enjoying quite a lot working with a shovel and an axe, so maybe it will be a useful skill for the future :) But if I can find a way to use some of the methods and knowledge I acquire during my studies, I would be more than happy.
Otherwise, I enjoy having discussions with people and having long walk in the countryside (forest, beach, mountain, etc.). During my free time I love to cook all kinds of food. It permits me to learn more about the cultures and regions where it come from. So if I have the possibility to participate in the kitchen during the volunteering, that would be a pleasure.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

As I wrote in my profile, I spend few years in the academia and almost get a second Master degree in Anthroplogy, after the first one that I got in Geography.
That being said, I think that it illustrate quite well my curiosity about the world and my eager to learn new things. Also, because of this background I am now quite good at finding an information or a scientific article on the internet. Regarding my other skills, I have got few experiences in different kind of manual work, like when I was a cashier in an organic grocery store, a bartender in a apple cider bar or a volunteer in an NGO which was chopping and delivering wood for refugees at the Anglo-French border. I acquired some practical organisation skills, learned how to be more attentive and reactive to specific situations, and forced me to practice sport - to avoid any injuries - and maintain me in a good shape.

I love to share moments with people while we are walking in the "nature". Otherwise, I'm quite into social sciences and politic which help me to try to have a better understanding of our world.
