The goal is to visit a new country every year😍 Last year, I enjoyed "work awaying" in England & even got a chance to visit Scotland!😍 Met some AMAZING people along the way. This year, I'm off to Switzerland, Portugal & France parceque j'ai étudié le français en école et je parle le français. Je dois pratiquer et améliorer cette langue. ❤

I am a social worker by passion and an by profession. I love learning new things and so I opted to stay in school a little longer than usual. 😆
I spent the last 6 years working and studying while helping my father in his dream to start a home stay at our farm in Goa. We currently have 2 horses 🐎, 2 dogs, 9 cats, a couple of wild peacocks. The plan is to get geese, ducks, stone chickens & even goats soon. This is not a business that we are building up but a dream. My father being a vet, (now retired) has always dreamt of having a petting farm where kids can come and spend the day around animals, learn about their food habits, their habitats, the respect due to animals and how we share our ecosystem with them. With my experience with children and my father's expertise with animals, we will have residential camps teaching the children all of the above. This is a work in progress.

I was supposed to be a vet (following my father) but I went into my mother's profession instead.

Me: love travelling. Love music. Tried to attempt to be a musician. I still hold on to my keyboard & guitar.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

After my M.Sc in 2015, I was the coordinator with the Jesuit Refugee Service at Sri Lanka for 7 months. We set up 2 education institutes which short term useful courses like English & Computers for those students who did not have access to such information at school.

After my Stint in Sri Lanka, I worked in a pathology lab for some time, following which, I was a microbiologist professor for one year at our local college.

I taught French for a number of years at the Alliance Française Goa. I enjoyed my 2 year tenure teaching Science & Maths at Don Bosco High School, Panjim, Goa. Today I am a teacher at the estellar Academy (higher secondary) teaching English & French to classes XI -XII.

I absolutely adore teaching, love kids, love my job and the satisfaction I get from it. There is nothing better than seeing 50 young bright faces of noisy students first thing in the morning. 🤣 This may not be everyone's cup of tea but hey... each to his own right?

This past year, I was the Curator of the Global Shapers, Panjim hub. For those who may not know, the GS community is an initiative of the World Economic Forum. We thrive on social work in all areas. Education, sanitation, waste management, the fourth industrial revolution and more. Although this was not a paid position, it was my honor and privilege to lead such an august team of inspiring members, each of whom had done phenomenally well in their own fields. Each and every one of us simply wants to make the world a better place.
