Hi there! I'm solo traveling for a few weeks from November 4 (from Oaxaca City to Guatemala). I'm curious to learn more about Mexican culture while sharing those memories with other backpackers :)

Hi!
I'm Caroline, currently traveling through North and Central America for a few months. I’m passionate about learning and immersing myself in new cultures, and I would love to improve my Spanish while exploring Guatemala’s rich heritage. I'm working on a socially and environmentally engaged illustrated project to raise awareness about the diverse realities of populations in Canada, Mexico, and Guatemala.
This topic is very close to my heart, and I believe in making the most of every cultural exchange. I can't wait to contribute my energy to a meaningful Workaway experience!
Along the way, I’m making the most of these months by trying every local dish I can find, laughing at jokes from all nationalities, and forming amazing international friendships.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
- I’ve been a private tutor, teaching French (my native language) and history for a year alongside my studies.
- After my studies, I interned for six months at the NGO Oxfam France (an international development NGO fighting poverty, inequality and discrimination), where I gained experience in creating impactful projects and engaging the public on issues of inequality
- Every year, I also spend a month biking with an NGO called "Le Relais Jeunes," where we learn and raise awareness about specific topics like water or energy, while staying on farms and assisting the owners with their land.
- On the practical side, I grew up in a house that was always under construction, with a large vegetable garden in a small French village, so I’m used to helping with building projects or gardening, and I’d be happy to learn new techniques and skills along the way!
- Currently, I’m working on a written and illustrated investigation, and I’d be happy to contribute to your cause and help spread awareness of your mission. I’m also an aspiring illustrator, slowly but steadily developing my skills.
