Beschreibung

I am retired and living in Brazil for 6 months per year. I have been in love with Brazilian culture and people since my first trip to Bahia in 1989. For the other six months I travel and volunteer when possible. Through Workaway I volunteered in Lebanon for three months, India for five months,
Thailand for three months, and periodically in Brazil. I am a mother of two adult children, and we lived in Mexico for almost 24 years where we owned a small vegan hotel and restaurant. I volunteered with an NGO at an orphanage in Mexico for 7 years where I designed and implemented physical, artistic, and English language activities for preschool children up to teens. My passions include cultural travel, the beach, playing drums, yoga, healthy vegan cooking, and teaching children with play and artistic activities.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have been in the hospitality industry for over 35 years and managed our family hotel and restaurant in Mexico for over 20 years. I can teach English and basic Spanish. I can help in a school, NGO, cooking, light cleaning, pet care, child care, restaurants, hotels, in tourism in general. I have been a volunteer at an orphanage for over 7 years and love to play and teach young children. I am in charge of social media, designing and implementing activities for children from preschool to teenagers as well as the liaison between the English-speaking volunteers and the orphanage administration. I am fluent in English and almost fluent in Spanish. I am energetic and care to do things well when I am working but laid back and relaxed when off duty. I am a gracious guest and extremely considerate of other people's space and privacy.

I am willing to work as a volunteer in a private home, schools, orphanages, NGOs, vegan restaurants, or any hospitality-related services. I love drumming, yoga, and walks. I like to be in nature at the beach, in the mountains, and among trees.
