Hi everyone,

Here's some information about both of us individually so you have an idea about who we are.

Nellie:
I'm Nellie from Belgium. I think the best way to describe myself is an enthusiastic ,easy-going girl. All I want to do is discover this world and make myself usefull by helping out people/projects I believe in. I love to meet new people, exchange experiences, see different places, learn about different cultures...

I'm a very motivated person both to work hard as to learn from the people around me and the situation I find myself in. I'm flexible and adapt to situations quiet easily. I don't mind getting my hands dirty and I like to keep things simple. I figured out that when I can make myself usefull in any sort of way for something I believe in and I can spent time in good company it's all I need to feel happy and bring a smile on my face. Some of my working points are that I get maby too attached or involved into something easily and I already learn a lot about standing up for myself but there's still a lot to improve. :)

Guided by a passion/curiosity that I cannot really explain I started travelling and volunteering when I was 18. During 1 month I helped building a school in Africa and after this experience I was sold. So I ended up in Greece where I volunteered 3 months in a wild life rescue centre and 2 months in a project that protects sea turtles during the breading season. I went to Croatia where I volunteered during 2 years in a bear refuge in a small village in the mountains. In between my volunteering projects I like to travel around, visiting friends, discovering places. I love to go camping, to hike, I like to be outside and talk and spent time around people, I like to read, sing to be creative...let's say I'm interested in many different things and always ready to try something new. I'm more the spontaneous kind of person, I'm not so good with planning (I do try when it's necessary :) )

One beautiful experience led to another and motivates me even more to keep travelling, meet new people and help out where I can. No matter how much I love what I do it's not always rainbows and sunshine but some difficulties are simply part of life and I try to see them as a challenge to learn from.

I really like the concept i wanne see the world and the best way to do is meet the people of the world
I always worked with steel in Belgium
welding, grinding and construction
I have a smal basic knowledge of wood but want to improve and learn more about it because you can do a lot with it
every day is new and every day you can learn more so with this attitude i wanne travel
to learn about you , the people culture and of course the food my girlfriend likes to cook and I like to eat so that's a perfect match
so I think that's that the other things you have to find out in person

During one year I was coordinator of the volunteers in the bear refuge in Croatia.
For 2 years I guided visitors around the bear refuge, informing them about bears, our project, the villageand it's area...

I like to work with tools and different kind of materials, I wouldn't say so much that I have one specific skill but I'm very hands on and pretty handy in general. I've done restauration work around the bear refuge using materials like rocks, concrete, wood...
During my volunteering projects we had to deal with unexpected situations almost on daily base so I definitely improved my improvising and problem solving skills.
