Beschreibung

I'm Nadja, a 30-year-old prop maker from Finland. I am travelling to New Zealand to chase my prop making dreams as the industry is really inspiring in NZ! I am a fantasy nerd who loves to sculpt creatures, bake 3D cakes, take care of animals, go hiking and do all kinds of creative things. I have travelled in New Zealand before as well, and absolutely fell in love with the country and it's people. The nature is spectacular and people so kind. Since then, I have just waited for the moment to come back!

I have travelled around the world, and worked in Australia, England and Germany making props for TV shows and film. I love visiting countries a bit more permanently - actually working and getting to know local people. It's such a differet experience to just travel around and see cool places, than to actually get to know locals and the lifestyle. This is what I want, which is why I'm very interested in the whole consept of Workaway.

I have done TrustedHousesitting before, and taken care of animals in Australia. I loved this! But, I'm also keen on doing other creative projects. I enjoy physical work as I love to exercise and use my body.

I have had dogs and cats my whole life, and used to ride horses younger. I really enjoy spending time with animals.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Working as a prop maker has taught me many different skills! I do sculpting, mold making, casting, painting and building stuff. I'm quite hands on, and even if there are things I haven't done before, I learn quite quickly.

I am very experiences with animals, especially dogs and cats. I used to train dogs and compete in obedience, agility and dog shows. I used to ride horses and take care of them when I was younger. I have done TrustedHousesitting before, so I'm used to taking care of other people's animals and homes.

Before I became a prop maker, I started my creative journey with 3D/fantasy cake baking. So special cakes are definitely my speciality!

I also love to practice Muay Thai and yoga! I love scuba diving and doing all kinds of new activities. I'm really keen on learning welding, too, if someone's keen to teach...
