I enjoy peaceful pursuits such as cooking, gardening, and spending time in nature. I love going to see live theater, and live music. I'm in awe of the time and effort the performers put into their craft. I love spending time with children, being silly, creative, or instructive. I'd like to help them experience the simple pleasures of life - mud pies, pollywogs, and good books. Most people find me friendly, but I'm a bit introverted, so if I'm in a big group, I'm reserved. One on one, or in smaller groups, I'm fairly chatty. I'm good at working quietly behind the scenes. I'm always up for trying new things, and am fairly resourceful. I'm the mother of five children, have lived abroad, and worked at sea. I've started a school, renovated a couple houses, painted countless walls, trim, and cabinets, and raised a flock of chickens. I want to share the joy of travel and experience of other cultures with my youngest son.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've had both in ground and raised bed vegetable gardens. I've planted fruit trees, bushes, and flowers, and pruned as necessary. We live on a few acres, and do most of the yardwork ourselves. I'm experienced with general home maintenance such as painting, hanging shelves, and assembling furniture and cabinets. I'm comfortable around hand tools and smaller power tools. I'm good at being an extra pair of hands if you're doing a more complicated construction project. I've spent a lot of time around children, mostly while they play, but have also worked a bit in an elementary school setting, helping children with their reading and math. I've had dogs, cats, and chickens. I'm very willing to learn some new skills.

I love to do creative projects.
I have basic sewing skills, good enough for curtains, and kids costumes, but not for adult clothing.
I would be happy to play cards or board games in the evening.
I enjoy learning new dance steps - I'm not very good, but I enjoy trying!
