Beschreibung

We are Lucia and Sara and we are two young artists. We have the same age, know each other since a very long time and made many experiences together; of course, we have some differences in our personalities, mainly due to our characters, but they are not an obstacle to our friendship; in fact many times they are complementary and they allow us to be more efficient (for example, while travelling).

We grew up together in small villages on the hills of Piedmont, Northern Italy, in contact with nature and, even if we come from different backgrounds, we share many interests and ideals: love for art, nature, philosophy and psychology are just some of them. We also share the curiosity of understanding the laws underlying human life; the constant will of learning something new, also by travelling, exchanging experiences and knowledge with people becomes a fundamental thing in our lives. Another common interest is getting to know different cultures and societies/communities, in fact, we believe that real personal growth can be achieved mainly through the confrontation and the understanding of diversity and a real social change can be achieved only through personal growth.
Consequently we both are trying to find and build different kind of society, starting from our everyday life: we believe that the present economic/social system, does not allow a real wellness for every individual and that solutions actually exist; we also think that different lifestyles, far from capitalism and individualism, are possible. This is why we try to live in a sustainable way, sharing spaces, experiences, art, culture and ideals with the collectivity.

This is why art is so important to us: we consider it as a means of communication and interaction with people, a means of introspection and collective growth, not just the production of some nice new objects. Through art we can express ourselves and our ideals and we especially enjoy doing it while travelling. We have different artistic skills, from painting to sculpture, photography and decoration, and we would be happy not only to share them with the ones interested, but also in learning some new techniques from others.

Among the experiences we made together, we participated to some volunteering and working exchanges, mainly doing artistic, agricultural or construction works. We would be happy to continue doing that and get in touch with many other people on this program!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Miriam

I love to do/I am good at:
-Any type of artistic and creative work/project, I graduated in Fine Arts so I can sculpt, paint with differents techniques, draw, engrave (both etching and linocut);
-DIYing, I love to create every kind of stuff;
-Photography and post production;
-Animal care;
-Cooking: In particular I'm good with almost any type of Italian meals but I had a lot of experiences in gluten and lactose free dishes as well. I like oriental food and I can cook someting from the thai, vientamese and indian culture;
-Gardening has always been a passion of my family and I am always happy to learn and share.
-I have a bit of experience with eco constructions, having helped building a mudhouse in Argentina
-I can do a bit of acroyoga and circus as well

I would love to deepen my knowledge of eco-constructions and any kind of manual labour, for I think it is of great inportance to my independence and growth as a person.

I speak Italian, Spanish, English, Portuguese and a bit of French (which I am still learning). I Would be glad to exchange knowledges about languages as well.

I love to/I am good at:
-Paint (with different techniques, medias and on different supports, from oil on canvas to mural painting), sculpt (with different media), draw, engrave (etching+linocut), create new projects, transfom and decorate environments, creft jewelry (I graduated in Fine Arts as well);
-Stay with children: entertain and play with them (I worked with children of different ages for few years already) but also teaching (since I have a diversified education I can be helpful in teaching sth, help with the homeworks or organise art workshops);
-Gardening, cooking, fixing stuff and generally any kind of manual work, better if connected with nature: I am a dynamic and inventive person so I can find solutions where you wouldn't expect and be helpful at any time;

I speak mainly Italian and English but I'm learning Spanish and French as well. I would be happy to learn more and share my knowledges with who is interested.
