Beschreibung

My name is Mija and I come from a small town in Slovenia. I am a cheerful young girl, but curious at every step. I am highly motivated, adaptable, and committed to personal and professional growth. I am a newly (1 year) graduated master's degree in primary teaching. For the past year, I have been working in a school with 3rd graders as a class teacher. As a licensed ski teacher in winter I teach beginners how to ski.

In my free time, I like to hike, do yoga, read, go for long walks, clean or just get enough sleep. I live on a farm where I help my parents with farm work. I am also a singer and have been part of a choir. I have participated in various international projects focusing on inclusion, fighting discrimination, and promoting human rights and health.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Skills:

- Teaching: I have a Master's degree in Primary Education (UN) and have worked as a volunteer caregiver, alpine skiing instructor in Slovenia, and general counselor in the USA. I know how to help and teach children.

- Communication: I am good at talking with people. I have worked as an information officer and can talk to guests and tell them about tourist things to do. I have also worked in jobs where I talk to customers and help them. I attended many Erasmus Youth Exchanges, sang where I met and made friends with other international people, many of whom we are still in contact.

- Service: I have experience working in a kitchen, serving, and cleaning. I know how to do things carefully and quickly.

- Farming: I live on a small farm in Slovenia. Since I was a child, I have helped my parents with work that needed to be done - like gardening, some housework, and taking care of cows/pigs, and also cats.

- Languages: I can speak German (B1/B2 level), English (C1 level), and mother tongue Slovene (C2 level). I can help others learn these languages too.

- Singing: I love to sing and have performed in a choir. I can teach some traditional Slovenian songs or just sing for fun with you. :)

- Organization: I have learned how to plan and manage projects. I have also been a personal English teacher and a vice president of a choir.

- Computer Skills: I know how to use programs like MS Excel, MS Word, and Google and its services and tools. I could also make you a simple video of what you would need. :)

- Cleaning: For the past few years, I am interested in minimalism and living with the stuff I need. I love the saying, "Love people, use things. The opposite never works." I try to do my best here.

- Volunteering: Over the years, I regularly help the Red Cross or Caritas by animating children or donating clothes.

I want to share my skills and knowledge with others. Even if you don't think you are a super genius, you can still help people with what you know. I am always willing to learn new things and spread my positive energy to everyone who sees my profile. :)

Was noch ...

I finished Faculty and before I settle down, I would love to try different international opportunities like Workaway. I've heard many positive things about it so why not try it out myself? :)
