Hi, my name is Michela, I am Italian and I've been living for the past 6 years in the UK.
I by chance came across Workaway during a holiday in Malaga (Spain), just talking to the receptionist of the hostel I was staying at. I was told through this platform I could have the possibility to travel the world and meet the locals. For years this idea stayed on my mind, I kept telling myself 'Travelling, this is what I want to do' and I was waiting for the right time for me to pack my bags and embark on this adventure.
I now realise there is no right time and the reality is that I just want to travel, meet people and connect with them, enjoy the beauty of sharing, helping and just getting to know each other! and I wish to do it now. There's so much beauty in the world and so much love and excitement to be felt that I need to go now, before my time to settle comes.
I love dancing (particularly Kizomba and Salsa), learn about different cultures and languages, crafts, cooking and baking and I recently discovered a beautiful interest for meditation and yoga which had a big impact on me. Spending time with my loved ones fills my heart with joy and their presence has been and is always a blessing during my life journey.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a children's nurse, this job taught me a lot about the importance of kindness towards the others, how much can be achieved when cooperating together and to work hard. I would be happy to share my skills in any environment that may benefit from them, from community or family projects to looking after children and their well being.
I am a crafty person and I would love to help with creative projects.
I am a good cook and recently been experimenting plant based recipes.
I speak fluent Italian and English, even if I've never done it before, I would be happy to challenge myself and teach them!
I am also very happy to learn new skills! for example, I would like to learn more about permaculture.
