We love spending time in nature, with animals, exploring new cultures, playing games, and doing sports.

Beschreibung

Hi there! We are Ayko and Melina, both 24 years old, from Germany.

We are two passionate animal lovers, currently traveling through Asia after finishing our studies. Melina studied Sustainable Development, and Ayko studied Business Psychology. In our free time, we love doing yoga, playing padel, gravel biking, and, of course, spending time with dogs!

Both of us grew up with dogs and cats at home and have been caring for dogs from neighbors, friends, and family for years. But that was not enough! Over the past three years, we have spent around eight months living and working in different animal shelters across Europe. Our experience in shelters has shown us how demanding, yet incredibly rewarding, this work can be.

Animal welfare is something we deeply care about. Every dog deserves a second chance, and we want to contribute to making that happen. Spending time in shelters allows us to support the incredible people who dedicate their lives to this cause.

While traveling, we would love to spend some time at your shelter and help in any way we can.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We spent 6 months working in a dog shelter in Spain and 2 month working in a dog shelter in Greece. We both are certified first-aiders on the dog. Ayko also posses a certificate of competence for dogs. In German, called "Sachkundenachweiß".

To sum up, gain the following skills during our volunteering:
- we have a lot of experience with scared, traumatized and aggressive dogs
- daily business in an animal shelter (Cleaning, feeding, Organization etc.)
- we both speak english fluently
- we are flexible, responsible, open-minded and hard-working volunteers
- we kown how to take are of a houshold and garden
