Hi :-)
I am Mathilde, 28, from France! I am currently travelling in Canada (since March 2022), and I will be exploring the country until December 2023 (I have a valid work permit).

I have several Workaway/Helpx as well as farm work experience from my previous trips
- 2 months Helpx in a sled dogs kennel in Eastern Canada (Quebec)
- 1 months Helpx in a Bed and Breakfast in Tadoussac (Quebec)
- 2 weeks Workaway in a ranch in Manitoba,
- 1 month Workaway helping building an earthship house in the Canadian Rockies
- 1 extra month in the sled dogs kennel in Quebec, where I worked earlier
After I finished this North American loop in 2018, I took a plane to Australia and worked in farms (fruit picking + 5 months in a dairy farm taking care of the calves) for about 2 years!

Then I came back to France for a year (working in an office), and then again to Canada since March 2022!

When I came back to Canada last year I went straight to Banff, to live in the Rockies! I started a workaway in a hostel, stayed there for amonth and a half until I found a full time job for the summer, working with sled dogs! I Then came back to the Hi hostel as activities coordinator in November 2022, this is where I am still working to this day!

If I had to sum up my person or what I can bring to hosts in a few words:
- Low maintenance & easy-going
- I am not afraid of working hard & getting my hands dirty
- I am respectful & caring towards humans, nature and animals,
- I am pro active and independant (can be left alone to do stuff, and I am always happy to bring ideas to projects)
- I am in great health (still have an insurance, just in case haha), I jog 2/3 times a week, and love outdoor activites (hiking, skiing, canoeing, camping, barbecueing, stargazing...)
- I bring humour and positive energy :-)
- I love cooking (and eating), I am always happy to learn new cooking cultures or to teach mine!
- Someone to talk to: I can speak English, French & German, and I believe in communication to make things work. I don't mind spending time on my own & I love being with people as well, telling and hearing stories, taking care of each other and sharing adventures.
