Hello dear community!

my name is Marie, I am 26 and I just finished my master's degree. In November 2023 I will start my first job and until then I am free to enjoy the summer and autumn, which is why I am here.

My passions are animals, nature, sport, traveling, food, and art. I have been to over 25 countries and still cannot get enough. I enjoy getting to know new places, cultures, and people. Traveling allows me to also engage in my passions like trying out new sports, discovering local cuisines, and enjoying art from all over the world.

I grew up in the countryside and have always been around animals and nature. I grew up with cats, dogs, rabbits, and horses. However, my love for animals does not stop there. Whenever I get the chance to meet your pet or be around animals, I will take it. This could be jogging through Paris with your husky, relaxing on the couch with your cat or enjoying the local nature on a ride/walk/drive with your horse.
Besides that I love to travel in ways where I can be "as local" as possible. So, I am no stranger to community-based websites of sharing and helping each other out like on here. I have travelled/am travelling with couchsurfing and trustedhousesitters, which allowed me to meet amazing people and their pets. Furhtermore, it allowed me to experience their home and life as a friend even though I am practically a stranger. I fell in love with this type of travelling and would love to broaden my horizon with the opportunities I have found here.

Besides the cultural immersion, meeting people and travelling, I really like the aspect to be able to work. I am a naturally curious and adventurous person, who is not afraid to get her hands dirty or dive head-first into learning new skills.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

ANIMAL CARE:
I have experience with all sorts of animals (type, size, age, health issues, etc.), and I am not afraid of big dogs, horses, exotic pets, etc. I am confident in handling difficult, anxious, or highly energetic pets and can offer everything from extensive exercise, snuggles on the couch to lovingly ignoring the pet if that is necessary.
I am also confident enough to ask questions if I am unsure about anything. Your pet's/animal's wellbeing is my main concern and I want to ensure that this experience is good for them.
Besides that, I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty to clean out stables, bathe a muddy puppy, or brush the hairiest of animals.
-- DOGS
I have experience in handling bigger dog breeds like Saint Bernard's, German Shepherds, and Huskies (who were not the most well-behaved/trained), as well as with mutts and (anxious) rescue dogs.
I enjoy going on walks and runs with dogs and have no problem with getting their energy out even if I cannot let them off leash.
-- HORSES
I have experience with horses, ponies, and foals. I mainly rode English (since early childhood), but also have experience in show jumping and western, did a lot of groundwork with all ponies/horses/foals, and drove carriages. However, all of this was done according to the horse's level and health. I have never competed and cannot provide official training certificates. But, I would be happy to demonstrate my skills and provide references of the horses' owners.
I was working on a private horse farm 2-5 days a week after school for 5 years. (mucking out, feeding, exercising, grooming, training, letting horses in/out)
I also worked on a commercial and holiday horse farm (50 horses) for 4 weeks. (during the summer holidays; mucking out, feeding, grooming, letting horses in/out, giving beginner riding lessons to children, exercising)

I have also owned or pet sitted for cats, rabbits and fish.

GARDENING:
I have to admit that I do not have a green thumb. So, I would require exact instructions to ensure that your plants will have a good experience as well.
But I am a quick learner and not afraid to get my hands dirty. Also, I have several hours of working in the (roses and vegetables) gardens of both my mum and grandma.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:
I worked in an international online art gallery in Paris for 6 months taking care of our artists (13.000 world-wide), providing support via mail, phone and in person.
I worked as a waitress/host for several events. (weddings, graduation ceremonies, etc.)
I helped out at my ex-boyfriend's familie's small hotel, including cleaning rooms, cooking, serving, business administration.

BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION:
I have a bachelor's and master's degree in international management and have worked several internships and side jobs in automotive, consulting, thermotech and e-commerce. I have written several business plans for lectures and international competitions. I am certain if there are tasks regarding the business I could be of help.
Besides that I have helped building websites and social media, as well as worked in administration of businesses before.

CLEANING/MAINTENANCE:
As a side job I used to clean houses of elderly people in my village, including floors, windows, dusting, etc.
I helped out at my ex-boyfriend's familie's small hotel, including cleaning rooms, cooking, serving, business administration.
I have no official training in building, however I am not shy to take on any task and give it my best. I have helped out with maintenance task around horse barns and renovating apartments.

I love baking.
I love to do sports every day in case you want to join or maybe need a motivator.
I love horse riding, hiking, walking, running, general fitness training like body weight exercises and ballet.
During the pandemic, I moved in with my mum for three months, during which I took over the cooking, which resulted in her losing 10 kg.
I like to game, read, experience new cuisines, go out for a drink or to meet people.
