Hello!
My name is Marco Petterson, I am an 18-year-old living on the central coast of California. My hobbies include performing in plays/musicals, rock climbing, and photography. I am a hard worker who isn't afraid of manual labor and I love traveling and learning about cultures all across the world. I am fluent in English, and Spanish (I tutor in Spanish), and I can communicate decently in Italian and understand some Portuguese. I am looking for new experiences with new people, and I want to try everything at least once. I consider myself a low-maintenance traveller and I want to make connections with people by helping in any way I can.

I almost majored in Spanish Literature in college, and I love learning about languages. I pick them up pretty quickly and love the differences in regional dialects and patterns. I am confident in my ability to teach English and Spanish, both literature and verbal communication. Teaching languages is great fun! I hold a California State Seal of Biliteracy.

I speak English, and Spanish and can communicate in Italian and a little Portuguese. I was awarded the California Seal of Biliteracy and tutor people in formal and informal Spanish.
I am a quick learner and hard worker who is patient and good at manual labor.
I have experience as a chef and managing a restaurant, so I can work under stress very well.
I enjoy singing, dancing and rock climbing, sometimes lifting weights.
I love the great outdoors and am very self-sufficient and handy when it comes to building things, organizing groups of people and being time-efficient.

I am planning on studying environmental science in college. I love playing chess! I have been told I am a good listener and I just would love getting to know people. I am also open to longer stays than a couple of months doing a Workaway.
